*Take a Bite 2020 has been rescheduled to July 31 – August 2, 2020*
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Take a Bite for 2020 has been modified to make social distancing possible. The complete festival will return in 2021 but the 2020 modified version will be fun but smaller.
“Take a Bite” is an award winning 3-day food experience that features sampling, hands-on demonstrations, and special dinners. Voted the Outstanding new event by the Iowa Tourism Commission, each evening features a special dining event like a historic Amana Colonies communal dinner served in the only intact communal kitchen or a Vintners Dinner that pairs a specially selected menu with expertly selected wines, or maybe an afternoon tea. All come with history and experts to guide you through the meal. Each year the dinners vary and more are added as they sell out quickly once announced.
Meals aren’t the only event that is popular. Take the Sampling Stroll where you’ll visit a minimum of 8 different shops and if you are one of the first 250 to register you’ll receive a logo souvenir glass.
Do you like to cook or are you interested in learning more about beer and wine? We have demonstrations throughout the weekend that will increase your knowledge in a very tasty way.
Take a Bite will broaden your food experience in an entertaining way. We’ll post the particular events once all the details are ready.
