Willkommen

Step into a world of authentic German ambiance that was created by our ancestors and preserved by us today. Experience the unique culture that has its roots in Germany and flourished in the USA during a communal era for over 90 years.

Visitors have been coming to our scenic seven villages for over a century.  Some come for our foods and to sip our wines and beers. Others, for the quality handcrafted products, art, and variety of quaint shops that line our streets. Maybe it’s the ambiance created by the architecture or the numerous festivals that take place in each season. Whatever it is, we’re glad you’re here.

Itineraries

We’ve put together some suggested itineraries based on interests. Taking one of our guided tours is the another way to discover the Amana Colonies. From May-October, we offer tours with local knowledgeable guides that will not only show you important historic sites, but will also give you insight to the communal era. They’re great for larger groups and these tours can be customized, too.
