You can do just that at the Middle Amana Community Park when it plays host to the 28th annual celebration of the Iowa Renaissance Festival on the last weekend in May. Step through the gate and become immersed in the past as you’ll encounter all types of characters from this historic era.
Stroll through six living history encampments and an artisan merchant village where you can emerge in full costume. There are craft demonstrations, a variety of entertainers that provide comedy relief, knights doing combat with each other and plenty of activities for the kids. Learn about life in these ancient times and enjoy all types of interesting and tasty foods at the the royal food court. There’s even a beer garden.
