The Amana Colonies are a great place to have a festival or special event. We have many during the course of a year, some we organize and put on while others come from all over to have their event in the Colonies. Our 26,000 acres of land allows us to accommodate a variety of events with sites in the villages and some just outside.
- Each year we host Iowa’s “Renaissance Festival” in spring and fall under the oak trees in our community park in Middle Amana.
- August bring the Amana Art Guild’s “Festival of the Arts” which is held in the center of the village of Amana and for “Model A Day” we’ll see 80-100 vintage Model A vehicles pull into Amana for a day. What a sight that is.
- On Labor Day weekend, you’ll find artist spread all over the seven villages as they paint the community for “Plein Air”.
Whether it’s one of our themed weekends, a major festival, or a special event you’ll find something different and unique in each month of the year here in the Amana Colonies.
