The Amana Colonies are a great place to have a festival or special event. We have many during the course of a year, some we organize and put on while others come from all over to have their event in the Colonies. Our 26,000 acres of land allows us to accommodate a variety of events with sites in the villages and some just outside.

  • Each year we host Iowa’s “Renaissance Festival” in May and June under the oak trees in our community park in Middle Amana while at the RV Park and Event Center you can practice your polka at the “Becksterfest”.
  • August bring the Amana Art Guild’s “Festival of the Arts” which is held in the center of the village of Amana and for “Model A Day” we’ll see 80-100 vintage Model A vehicles pull into Amana for a day.  What a sight that is.
  • On Labor Day weekend, you’ll find artist spread all over the seven villages as they paint the community for “Fresh Paint”.

Whether it’s one of our themed weekends, a major festival, or a special event you’ll find something different and unique in each month of the year here in the Amana Colonies.
