Join us in the Amana Colonies on Saturday, June 17th for WURST FESTIVAL! If Oktoberfest is the best fest then this is certainly the Amana Colonies’ Wurst Festival. Wurst Festival was named the BEST NEW EVENT OF 2015 by the Iowa Tourism Commission and it just keeps getting bigger and better. Tickets are $5 and children 12 & under get in free!
We’ll be celebrating all things sausage as we’ve gathered sausage makers from around the state so you’ll be able to indulge in all types of handmade small-batch sausages.
Where there’s Sausage there’s also Beer and Wine and Music. Ladies put on your Dirndls and gentlemen it’s time to break out the Lederhosen as we eat, drink and have the Wurst time you could possibly have. There will be games, contests, and you can even get an education at Wurst University. Join the fun in what will be the summer’s best festival—-Amana Colonies’ Wurst Festival!
The 7th running of the Dachshund Derby takes place in the afternoon-Bring your wiener dog and enter him/her in the Derby as we find the faster Dachshund in Iowa! (5 pm)
