Altes und Neues: Second Edition

Join us at the Amana Heritage Museum on Tuesday, November 12th at 6pm for our 2nd Edition of Altes und Neues. 2024 AHS interns, Jackson Kleinmeyer and Cooper Daugherty, will join local researcher R.C. Eichacker to enlighten us on a number of topics related to their current projects. Jackson’s summer project was uncovering the corporate history of the Amana Society, Inc. He is in the process of helping create a corporate archive at the Main Office that spans from the Great Change in 1932 to 1972. Cooper’s summer project was working in the museum archives and also at the Communal Kitchen Museum. He plans to attend college for museum studies and has gained great insight into Amana’s collections. Longtime AHS volunteer, R.C., will share his research on Amana people through the years who served in the Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard.
