A Prophecy In Paint

Renowned local artist David Garman will exhibit his series A Prophecy In Paint. These large format narratives represent the focus of his life’s work. Now 29 years in the making, these were last shown in Iowa as a solo at the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art Iowa Galley, January, 2000. Many new pieces have been added since then, some never before seen by the public. Along with the finished oils, this show will also include preliminary and comprehensive drawings, giving an idea of the creative process. The show will run during regular Homestead Church Museum hours from September 21 through September 29. An opening reception will be held on Friday, September 20 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at the Homestead Church Museum. All are invited to attend.
