Come hungry for a delicious spring weekend in the Amana Colonies! Take a Bite, Take a Sip returns April 17–19, 2026 with three days of special dining experiences, live demonstrations and educational tastings, and the popular Sampling Stroll on Saturday and Sunday.
Whether you’re planning a quick day trip or a full weekend getaway, this event is a fun way to explore the villages, enjoy unique food and beverage experiences, and discover what local businesses have created especially for the weekend.
Enjoy one-of-a-kind meals, themed menus, pairings, and limited-time dining experiences throughout the weekend.
Take part in hands-on classes, guided tastings, and interactive food and beverage experiences.
Pick up a Sampling Stroll passport at the Visitors Center and explore the villages while sampling featured bites and sips from participating businesses.
Experience a historic communal-style dinner in the Communal Kitchen Museum. Guests will enjoy a traditional meal along with stories about Amana’s communal past, plus the opportunity to tour the attached home museum after dinner.

Pick up your Sampling Stroll Passport at the Visitors Center or any participating business and taste your way through the weekend.
Visit at least 6 stops, collect stamps or signatures on your passport, and turn it in to the Visitors Center by 5:00 PM on April 20 for a chance to win one of two gift baskets filled with goodies from participating businesses.
