The Amana Community Library, located at 3023 220th Trail, Middle Amana,​ is pleased to welcome local historian, R.C. Eichacker, for two author talks and book signings on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

R.C. will share insights from his new book, Marriage by Committee, exploring the fascinating traditions and communal practices surrounding marriage during Amana’s communal era from 1855–1932.

​Both afternoon and evening sessions will include a brief presentation, an audience Q&A, and a book signing. Copies of Marriage by Committee will be available for purchase at the event.
