Apfel Day
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE APPLES!
Apfel Day is a day dedicated to America’s favorite fruit! It’s a beautiful time to visit the Colonies, and you’ll find apple treats, apple gifts, and apple desserts at many of the businesses.
Take the Apfel Day Sampling Stroll and visit a variety of businesses that will all have something apple for you to sample. Pick up an Apfel Day brochure with the Sampling Stroll list inside at any participating business, on this webpage, or at the Amana Colonies Visitors Center. When you’re finished and have had at least seven businesses sign-off on your list, complete the form and turn it in at the Visitors Center to be entered into a drawing for an Amana Colonies gift certificate!
Peace Garden Activities (just outside the Visitors Center):
- From 11:00 am – 3:00 pm we will have a Kinderplatz with free, kid-friendly fun. Yard games, chalk art, apple coloring, and an apple scavengar hunt.
- Allen’s Orchard will be joining us again this year from 11:00 am until sold out, selling some of their delicious apples and apple cider doughnuts for you to enjoy. Don’t be late or you might just miss out!
- Snow Nouveau will be joining for her first Apfel Day, selling shave ice. Some may remember her from Kinder Day! We bet you can’t eat just one shave ice!
