A SWINGIN’ CHRISTMAS WITH ROD PIERSON’s BIG BAND AND CRAIG BOCHE AT THE MIC will be an evening filled with hoppin’ and rockin’ holiday tunes that will undoubtedly get you into the holiday spirit.
The Rod Pierson Big Band is a 13-member band comprised of world class musicians and a legendary music library of swing, big band, jump, ballad and contemporary charts.
Pierson’s experiences as a musician include long term stints with The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, The Moe Band, Hunter Fuertes’s Vintage Orchestra and the Guy Lombardo Orchestra.
His jazz credits include performances with Woody Herman, Natalie Cole, John Pizzarelli and Ann Hampton Callaway.
Pierson has backed popular artists such as Aretha Franklin, Burt Bacharach, The Temptations and Bob Hope.
Boche has given countless performances in venues all over the Midwest. From soft romantic ballads to traditional ring-a-ding swing, wild jump tunes, the audience will hear his vocal depth, accuracy and versatility. His velvety vocals bring a certain Rat Pack sound, swagger, and feel to our performances. The chart list includes songs & arrangements made popular by Sinatra, Darin, Martin, Cole, Prima, Connick, Basie, Bublé, Miller, Setzer, Davis, and so many more.
