Tracking in the Timber Monarch Caterpillar Discovery for Larvae Monitoring Project Turtle Rescue Fishing for the "Big One"! Summer Prairie Dinnertime! Owling in February

Walking Stick Adventures is a program for adults and families looking for outdoor adventures. We offer guided, hands-on nature exploration and discovery in the Amana Colonies. The Amana Colonies encompasses over 26,000 acres of relatively undisturbed and unique Iowa habitats. For the first time, visitors now have the chance to "creep" down the creeks or stroll through the timber. We offer daily field trips throughout the year. We leave the Amana Colonies Visitor Center at 10 am and 1 pm, Monday through Saturday. Fees are $17 per person for a 2 hour program, transportation and any equipment will be included.

Pre-registration is required by phone (319-329-9821; 319-668-1355) or at the Amana Colonies Visitor Center ( 622 46th Ave., Amana, IA 52203) two hours before scheduled trip times. Dressing for the weather and for "getting dirty" is necessary. Programs will be canceled during severe weather situations but we will go play in the rain/snow when possible!. For more information about these programs, private camping, and other recreation opportunities, check out our variety of "experiences" at www.walkingstickadventures.com.
