Amana artisans will open their private workplaces and studios for the special event.  A self guided driving tour that provides visitors an opportunity to see them at work, experience historic sites and go shopping too!  This event will be held Friday September 14 and Saturday September 15 from 10am-5pm.  Maps are available at each studio and gallery and also at the Amana Colonies Visitors Center.  Watch for the Art Tour signs.  Free admission.

The Amana Arts Guild located in one of the seven historic Amana villages of the Amana Colony will sponsor a Fall Fibre and Clay Art Show and Sale on Saturday November 3 and Sunday November 4th.

This intimate event celebrates rug making, spinning, weaving, needlework and pottery.  Several of the artisans will be demonstrating their craft.  Along with individual artisans the Guild's "Handmade in Amana" shop will be open to the public.  The shop features quilts, baskets, rag rugs and all types of needlework as well a a variety of other arts and crafts.

The show and sale is a special Holiday shopping event for those unique "one of a kind" items.  Admission is free.  Hot cider and treats will be available.  Saturday hours are 10am-5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm.

The Villages of Amana Christmas Haus Tour will be held on December 1 from 10am-4pm and December 2nd from 4pm-8pm.  Visitors can welcome in the Holiday season by touring five homes throughout the historic villages.  Visit with homeowners and get to know the Colonies in a whole new way.  The Amana Arts Guild's "Weihnachtsmarkt" will offer unique handmade Colony art and crafts.  Hot cider and cookies will be available.  The cost of the tour is $10 and children under 12 are free.  Tickets in advance can be purchased at the Amana Colonies Visitors Center or the day of the event at each home on the tour.
